Drawing inspiration from S’s last post….
I wanted to expand on what S brought up in the last post. The concept of doing something that doesn’t make you happy. Many of us are stuck in the “woulda, coulda, shoulda” phase of our life. Where we question our motives, wonder about things we could have done differently. These emotions are valid. Curiosity is innate in all of us, but we must prevent the “woulda, coulda, shoulda’s” from controlling our present life.
Allowing ourselves to be truly happy is something that is often diminished, ostracized, criticized, and jeopardized. At some point, we must realize that we are in control of our own destiny. That we CAN be happy, that we SHOULD be happy, and moving forward we will LEAD a life of happiness.
Step one is to evaluate those things that make you happy. That inspire you to be a better person, friend, daughter, son, brother, sister, human being! Eliminate those that bring you down, that do not encourage you to be your best, and take control of the things (people and places included) that make you happy and who you are!
Life is too short to not be happy. Go out there and start!
